Hi all,

I appreciate this is a bit of a basic and vague question but does anyone have any tips on how to improve press ups. Obvious answer is “do more” but increasingly I am finding myself plateauing at a certain number and my arms just can’t lift my body anymore. Is there a smarter way to train to improve them?

Weighted press ups have been something I’ve used in the past to improve mine

Doing other exercises like dips, bench press, or shoulder press should help to strengthen your push muscles (chest, shoulders, and triceps) and improve your pushups.

This is a method I use, it is simple and effective. The channel is owned by an ex serving RM PTI Officer and has lots more videos on fitness which are helpful.
